Personalized Birthday Song From Their Photo

Upload a photo of the birthday person, type their name and one thing that makes them them, and AI writes and sings a brand-new birthday song as a short video. In the full video their name is sung in the song, not just shown on screen. Want it rapped instead? Flip the switch.

Birthday Song

This works on the same idea as our AI rap generator: you bring a photo, we write and perform the song.

How to make a personalized birthday song

  1. Add their photo.

One photo of the birthday person, facing the camera. A pet works too.

  2. Type their name and one detail.

The name is required. The age and a memory are optional, but they're what make the song feel written for them.

  3. Make it, then send it.

The full 15-second song, 9:16 vertical at 720p with no watermark, is rendered from credits and downloads as an MP4.

Custom birthday song with their name

A custom birthday song only works if it's actually about them. So the lyrics are written around what you type: their name, the age or milestone, and the one detail you add. In the full video the name is sung as part of the song. It isn't a caption over a generic track.

A few things help the name come out right:

  • Spell it the way it's said. "Shiv-aun" usually comes out closer than "Siobhan".
  • Use the name they actually go by. "Grandpa Joe" beats "Joseph".
  • Keep nicknames short. One or two words sing more naturally than a full name.

Birthday song examples

Each of these started with one photo, a name and a single line of text.

  • Grandpa Joe's 80th

  • Biscuit's first birthday

Want a birthday rap instead?

Some people would rather get a birthday rap than a sweet song, especially friends who'll laugh at a few teasing lines. Switch on Rap version before you press the button. You use the same photo, the same name and the same detail, and it's performed as a rap over an original beat.

  • Theo's birthday rap

What to write for the best song

The song can only be as personal as what you give it. Short, specific and true works best.

  • Lead with the name. "Maya" first, then the rest.
  • Add the milestone. "30 today", "first birthday", "retiring this year".
  • Pick one real detail. A food they love, a habit everyone teases them about, a place you went together. "Burns toast every morning" beats "a great person".
  • Keep it kind. Teasing is fine, but our Terms don't allow hateful or explicit lines.

Does it use the classic Happy Birthday tune?

No. Every song is newly written, both the lyrics and the melody. It doesn't reuse the traditional tune or any existing song, and it doesn't imitate any famous singer.

Sending it

The full video is a 15-second, 9:16 vertical MP4 at 720p with no watermark. That fits a text message, WhatsApp, an Instagram or Facebook story, or the TV at the party. Download it once and send it wherever you like. Paid videos are fine to post on social media.

Making one for a child

Making one for a kid's birthday? You must be 18 or older to make a video. A child can appear in the photo if you're their parent or guardian, or if their parent or guardian has confirmed it's OK. You'll confirm this when you generate. Photos are deleted after 30 days and never used to train AI.
